Since liberating himself from his major label commitments, 50 Cent has taken a ‘guerrilla approach’ to his new album “Animal Ambition”.

When 50 Cent made headlines in February, by announcing his departure from Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records, the New York rapper also announced his upcoming album, Animal Ambition. This week, 50 Cent gave fans more insight into the nature of the album and even more detail about being fully independent.

50 Cent says Jadakiss is scheduled to appear on “Irregular Heartbeat,” a cut off the collection. 50 cent took some time out at SXSW to talk about his journey to “Animal ambition”.

“I’m so anxious to put out material,” he said at the time. “It took me so long to get the business portion of music straight, because I had gone through an auditing process because it was the last record required for Interscope Records. And now, I got Animal Ambition, I was inspired to write this. It really has to be current. If it’s not like right now, what I feel is like the hottest thing, I know it’s done right, but it’s not necessarily what I should be doing right now.”

This week, after dropping “Don’t Worry about It” and “Hold On,” 50 has released “Pilot.” Over a soulful beat produced by Shamtrax, 50 returns to his familiar and confident flow. 50 has never been wittier as he is on “Pilot,” which should serves as a great appetizer for Animal Ambition. The album drops June 3rd.
