After releasing their summer inspired single ‘Stepping Out’ The Streets caught up with the emerging duo Keedah and Ganjy who at the age of 17 are already planning to heat up the music industry.
What’s the inspiration behind your new song “Stepping Out” ?
“Stepping Out” derives from the summer vibes and having fun in the sun. We tried to capture our summer experience and express how people our age engage in the summer season, parties, barbecues etc.
How did you guys meet and what made you take up a career in music?
We met each other through a mutual friend around 6 years ago.
(Keedah) – Ganjy moved to my estate a year after I first met her, since then our bond has continued to grow stronger…
(Ganjy) – We started realising we had things in common – like football and singing – that’s when we started to sing together covering songs.
(Keedah) – We made jokes about things and people and tried to it rhyme. That’s when we started making our own songs and working on them, improving!
How would you describe your sound?
Fresh&Current (up to the time) also diverse (we do a variety of different genres) UK sound.

At such a young age how has your experience been in the music industry so far?
We’ve enjoyed getting the opportunity to meet and speak to people we deem as important in the industry – also the different exposure that’s helped us to evolve our own sound.

What mark do you want to make in the music industry?
We plan on inspiring people with our music, we want to show people who we are and what we have to say. We want to lead a positive energy in our generation and show people that hard work pays off.
What’s next for you both?
We will be dropping some more singles before completing our first E.P next year
