London Loves LA is one of those brands that you just can’t not like. Especially if you’re a fan of the states, as sisters Sophie and Ella began the brand in 2010 after they found a penchant for ‘American vintage treasures.’ The girls personally trail around LA looking for the most ideal pieces of clothing to rework and to inspire them to create their own one-off designs to sell online in 2013. Ella and Sophie designed their own collection of cosy sweatshirts and t-shirts that evoked 90’s America – thing Clueless meets Breakfast Club. One of my favourite pieces is the facetious t-shirt with ‘life was tough growing up at the chateau’ on the front.
Personally, I think that their Instagram is one of the best parts of their brand. It consists of all their inspiration for their designs – and is just really fun to look at! On their website, the girls state that ‘we place as much importance on the journey of the clothes as the products themselves. Our journey is a nostalgic road trip wrapped up in teenage excitement and best friendship.’ I think my heart just melted. Their designs really are cosy and comfortable, with a wide selection to choose from.
