Nail trends are often seasonal with typically bright, bold colours for the summer and more deep darker tones once autumn kicks in.
However, there is one trend that has predominately stuck with us all year round- clean cut pastels!
Nothing lifts our mood more than a fresh new manicure, toned and shaped with the hottest colours, so here are some tips for perfecting that chic pastel perfect style.
Celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippermann says perfecting a pastel manicure really comes down to taking your time and applying two coats. “Don’t think you’re going to get full coverage on the first coat”, she states that one of the biggest mistakes people tend to make is risen from the thought that it’s going to look perfect on the first coat. Once you have completed your base and top note you’re good to go!
At New York Fashion Week it was all about the bare hand, where manicurists used sheer layers of skin-toned shades for that all natural, healthy finish.
If you love to wear dark clothing, try a soft pink rosy tone as a contrast to your ensemble. These tones are great for that edgy biker jacket feel.
