Cara Delevingne may have received negative press recently for falling asleep at her Vogue US interview, but it definitely has not hindered her fame or progress towards being the it girl in today’s popular culture. Aside from her impressive runway history and campaigns, she has made her acting debut in films such as Anna Karenina, The Face of an Angel, Kids in Love, and Timeless. Now, she gets to include “fashion designer” to her ever expanding resume with her 15-pieced DKNY capsule collection that is going to be released this October.
“They always encouraged my design output, my personal style and my ideas from the very beginning of our working relationship. DKNY is urban and edgy, but most of all, it’s individual. They truly embrace the weirdness in all of us, so you can really be yourself,” said Cara about DKNY to WWD.
The collection will be an expression of Delevingne’s style and it will feature beanies, tank tops, sweat suits, leather bomber jackets, and parkas. The price range will be from something as low as $75.00 to something as high as $735.00. The prices itself have caused an excitement throughout social media, especially among her 5.5 million followers on Instagram. However, that’s not the only thing that people are hyped about. She’s also casting her fans into the campaign.
“Guys! So, I created a sick special-edition collection with @donnakarandkny coming later this year, and I WANT YOU to be in the campaign with me! I’m CASTING for a few lucky fans to come to New York City and model my new #DKNY collection in a special photo shoot with me,” she declares on Instagram.
It’s clear that she’s not only known for her impressive resume and talents, but that she also rejoices and shares her big moments with her fans around the world.
