It’s not often you see Jean Paul Gautier’s name used in the same sentence as Hackney, but you better believe it, because the amazing fashion brand that dresses the likes of Gisele and Lady Gaga is set to give a part of London’s East End a total designer overhaul.

Jean Paul Gautier and his team will inspire a brand new market space dedicated solely to emerging trends, encapsulating a mixture of classic East End vintage, high street finds and of course, designer garments.

The market which will be open to London’s fashion pack will be set up in Ram Place, off Morning Lane and just a stone’s throw away from trendy Shoreditch and Brick Lane – two of London’s best vintage and retro havens.

The highly anticipated fashion scheme is part of the ‘Beyond Barbican’ programme which gives Londoners and travelling fashionistas alike, a chance to experience fashion and art outside of the world famous Barbican theatre. The new space will be awash with young, up and coming designers soon to burst onto the catwalk fashion scene, so if you’re looking for a few pieces that will induce clothes envy amongst friends, this will be your new favourite haunt.

Set to become one of London’s biggest fashion districts this summer, The Ram Place Fashion Market has Jean Paul himself to thank, as he often takes London’s cosmopolitan style to influence his catwalk designs. Gautier also hailed the East End as one of the best dressed parts of London, due to its eclectic mix of clashing prints, bold colours and all round clever styling.

Excitingly, Ram Place Fashion Market runs from Saturday July 12 to Sunday July 20, from 11am to 10pm daily – pencil the dates into your diary – a fashion revolution is on its way!
