Since 11, Londoner singer and songwriter Fola has been carefully honing his craft and his most important instrument, his voice. Taking part in various talent competitions, his journey has culminated in his upcoming EP Promise Land, set to be released in 2014.
But before that, he gives us a taste of what to expect with his promotional single The Way You Are. Taking cues from the likes of Justin Timberlake and Usher while infusing his music with elements of R&B, pop, and soul, this song may be a future chart topper. Crooning ‘don’t change, loving you the way you are’ with his dulcet tones, it’s a mood-lifter for the ladies, and gives the gentlemen some cues on how to treat their partners. That infectious booming bass will make sure the song sticks around in your head – in a good way, of course.
