Low-Key Events involve a relatively relaxed atmosphere where laughter and jokes can be made accordingly and manners are not so stilted. This may involve a picnic at the park, an outdoor music performance, the movie theatre, drinking coffee at a cafe, and even a walk on the beach. These are only a few of the low-key places that are available, however these outfits are still interchangeable:
· Bohemian Chic: The low-key events are always the friendliest to the bohemian babe whether she is outdoors or indoors. She can wear a cream crochet t-shirt or a fringy or laced camisole with a pair of harem pants or flare jeans. Maxi skirts are always a great option as well. Daring prints are always welcomed too with floral and Aztec prints never going out of style. You can pair these outfits with a pair of wedge sandals or gladiators, making you look cute and fabulous. This look is perfect for whatever low-key locale you choose. Remember your floppy hat if you are spending the outdoors or a blue denim jacket in case it gets chilly.
· Sporty Chic: The sporty chick is all about minimalism, yet active and thrilling at the same time. She would pair a neutral silk pajama blouse with it being tucked into a pair of dark capris. If this is not low-key enough for you, try a pair of boyfriend pants with a two-tone sweater. These outfits are best paired with sneaker wedges or a pair of espadrilles. In case of a chilly night, bring along a varsity jacket or a parka. The sporty chic is simple, but she loves her colours. Don’t be afraid to go for brighter colours. It’ll set your minimalistic tone just right.
· Classy Chic: Classy Chic never goes out of style with her timeless pieces and never ending effortlessness. She will most likely be wearing a soft pastel sleeve-less or long-sleeved chiffon blouse with a pair of dark tailored cigarette pants. If you do not like the cigarette pants, try wearing a high-waisted skirt or a shift dress. These would look great in a pair of flats or low-heeled shoes. Remember to bring a blazer for the chilly nights.
Semi-Formal events are the ones that people hate the most because they are so vague and ambiguous. It’s the line between formal and informal that no one should cross. When you are over dressed, you feel like you are being judged for trying too hard. When you are under dressed, it’s even worst. You are seen as being lazy or even disrespectful. However, you don’t have to worry because we got you covered:
· Bohemian Chic: For a semi-formal event, the boho woman can’t go wrong with a maxi dress. It just oozes a slight bit of formality with it being a floor-length dress, but it allows the informality of the texture or prints shine through. When choosing a maxi dress, think of the venue. If you are at an opera, your best bet is to stick with dark colours while if you are at a garden party then you can shine through pastels and floral prints. Remember to wear a great wedge strappy sandal underneath or even a more formal pair of heels.
· Sporty Chic: This may be a little difficult to navigate at a semi-formal event, but thank god for the long-sleeved jersey dresses. The soft material will make you feel comfortable, no matter what you are doing and it’s perfect for any semi-formal event. Just choose your colour and pair it with a pair of ankle-strapped sandals or one inch stilettos. Simplicity is the sport woman’s game.
· Classy Chic: Due to the timelessness of the classy woman’s wardrobe, a few of her low-key pieces can be recycled into semi-formal splendour. She can easily choose the classic approach of wearing a neutral coloured blazer with a dark blouse, and a pair of tailored cigarette pants. Or, she can go with the newly trendy shorts suit. Yes, there are women’s suits that are made up of a matching blazer and a pair of tailored shorts. These shorts come in all styles and colour. Just throw on a blouse underneath with a pair of stilettos or flats and she is good to go.
Formal Events are probably the easiest to dress for because everyone knows they’re for a night of glamour. These type of dates usually include eating at a high-class restaurant or watching an orchestra perform. They don’t just require you to look fantastic, you are expected to act accordingly with the venue and the people in it. However, you don’t have to worry about looking fabulous. We have that taken care of:
· Bohemian Chic: The pleated bohemian styled dress is perfect for formal events because they cover your arms and your legs, yet their simplicity allows you to dress it up with accessories. Try to get a v-neck styled one to show off your long chain necklaces or even a low-back one to give it a little sex appeal. Try pairing it with an ankle-strapped stiletto and a neutral coloured clutch. You don’t have to go for a clutch. Mix it up a bit.
· Sporty Chic: Thank god for the versatility of the jersey dress, because guess what? They can be worn for formal events too. Except in this case, you have to forgo the short jersey dresses. Remember that it should be floor-length. In this case, you want to play on the glamour by playing around with the texture. You can go for a crisp and simple smooth jersey dress with a v-neck, or have the dress show a little leg with a slit on the side. Remember Angelina Jolie? We do.
· Classy Chic: There are tons to choose from for the classy woman at formal events. You can go for a ball gown with a long train or even a sweetheart neckline floor-length evening dress. As for the colour, choose what you think will look great for you and pair it with amazing stilettos. Don’t forget your clutch and necklace. The look won’t be complete without them.
