When He Rather Text Than Call

“Just got off work. What about you?”
“Just sitting here thinking about you.”
*Heart emoji* “What about me?”
“Just how beautiful and cool you are and how you make me smile/laugh.”
Wait, did he just send all that through text? Wouldn’t you rather hear that over the phone or better yet, in person? Raise your hand if you are dating or dated a guy who rather text you than pick up the phone and call you. *Raises hand* Raise your hand if a guy has expressed his attraction or even dare I say, love, for you through emojis texts. *Keeps hand up* Do you even remember what his voice sounds like?
For some reason our society has gotten so comfortable with texting that it has spilled over to dating. So how do we nip this in the butt? We tell that handsome guy that is in our inbox that he should call when he is free. If he ignores that and continues to text you all day then ignore his texts. Simple as that. Because is he really getting to know you if your only form of communication is through text? Makes me shudder at the thought of an actual date with him. What is he going to do, text you from across the table?
