Written, arranged and produced by Midé himself, with Dayna Fisher on bass, Max Lauder on drums and Gershom Mutambo on guitar, “The Only Way Is Up” is undoubtedly one of the best songs we’ve heard from Midé, on which the London native offers up a glorious life-affirming message which implores the listener to stay strong, never give up and remember that “it’s alright, the only way is up”.
From SBTV crowning his E.G album as “one of the standout projects of 2014”, and rave reviews from the likes of the MOBO Awards, SoulBounce and Alt Sounds among others, to a successful UK nationwide tour which brought his music to sold-out crowds across the country, Midé has made great strides in the last twelve months – strides which have opened his glorious sounds to far-reaching audiences and taken the exciting musician into new dimensions of modern Soul music.
With these milestones under his belt and in addition to releasing his new single “The Only Way Is Up”, Midé is happy to announce his biggest headline concert yet, to be held at the renowned Shaw Theatre on April 11. In the lead up to the biggest gig of his career, Midé will also be embarking on a House Concerts series starting in January across London, which will see him playing intimate gigs for fans in their homes.
