Inspired by true events, this movie chronicles the real life movement of the same name. During the 19th and 20th century the organisation made up of women only saw those who were frustrated by their social and economic circumstances. Their protests and demonstrations were of the aim to bring about change within society – amongst other things, these women wanted the right to vote.

Released earlier last month and starring Academy Award Winner Meryl Streep, alongside an amazing cast of talent, this is one film that will inform and inspire which is why Suffragette the movie is one close to the hearts of us here at The Streets. {4/5 stars}
