With glamping becoming a more well know camping alternative for festivals or general trips into the wilderness, there have been plenty premium locations that have sprouted up all across the UK, so that you can roast some marshmallows and gaze up into the stars in sheer comfort. There are plenty more options than the few listed below, but here are some of the most decadent and luxurious camping locations.

A Campervan or motorhome

This might seem like an oddball choice to start with, but hear us out, camping with a motorhome is one of the most freeing yet comfortable experiences one can have. With it, you‘re able to visit any location you want, and always be sure to have key facilities such as a kitchen, a comfy bed, and even electricity and power.

They‘re an investment, obviously, however, if you‘re serious about camping, they‘ll quickly show their value, as they‘ll allow you to explore so much more, and be comfortable doing it. Pencuke farm is a yurt village built up within a stunning wildflower meadow, on an organic farm that‘s littered with long grass and crooked paths that can lead you to many adventures.

The yurts you‘ll be staying in at this location are spacious, due to their two-metre-high walls, and boast a domed canvas ceiling with a skylight for indoor stargazing. It‘s furnished with wooden floors, rugs and even sofas to create a comfortable and country atmosphere, and even has a log burner to help you feel super snug on cold days and nights.

The location is great too as it‘s not far from the renowned surfing site Crackington Haven, and there are also plenty of walking routes surrounding the seven–hectare farm.

Jollydays Luxury Camping, North Yorkshire

This premium glamping retreat came about due to half of one couple loving camping, while the other hated it. This relationship birthed an amazing location where the best of camping has been maintained and the worst upgraded. Jollydays can be described as part eco-shack and part chic hotel and is a great place for a camping holiday.

There are three types of tents you can use, ranging from the modest bell tent with it‘s shared facilities, to the deluxe tent that boasts four-poster beds, chandeliers and a large wood–burning stove.

The Forest of Dean is a magical location, and these domes add an extra sense of awe to the scenery. The domes are big and can fit a party of six and boast a pizza oven that can also be used to bake bread. The domes are built with solid floors, have insulated covers and comfortable beds that are made for you each morning. There‘s also a private camp kitchen and shower so that you can always feel fresh.

This location is perfect for those that need to disconnect, as you won‘t get any reception or Wi-Fi, making these great places to isolate and unwind.
