After taking time out to have her beautiful twins. Beyonce returned to the stage of Coachella – the annual music and arts festival in California, as the first black woman to headline, and made sure she snatched our wigs off in the process. You can watch the full performance here.
The set showed black excellence at its finest, paying ode to the HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) in America. The performance was littered with fraternity chants and the art form of stomping including Beyonce’s own set of bugaboos.
Bey made sure to make her performance a family affair, bringing her husband on stage for song ‘Deja Vu’ and her sister on for the dance sequence in ‘Get Me Bodied’. Not to mention Destiny’s Child reuniting to sing fan favourites such as ‘Say My Name’, ‘Loose my Breath’ and ‘Soldier.’
