Sounds a little odd doesn’t it, Leather during the summer! To be honest leather luxe is just a continuation from A/W 12. In fact, leather is a fashion staple. Leather trousers, seen on Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Gwen Stefani (love eyes) Gwen can do know wrong in my eyes), has been the key piece of the last 12 months.
Leather T-shirts are also something I’ve seen along with the customary leather skirts, jackets and dresses. Soft, supple, structured and simple, leather toughens outfits up, adding rock star attitude and gothic darkness. In lighter hues it can give a beauty and sexiness to the wearer not many materials can. Leather is forever versatile!
Matching pieces has struck again, as layered leather has been seen all over, from Celine and Givenchy to Maison Martin Margiela and Versace. Get your dominatrix on girls! If you’re not brave enough to wear head to toe leather, leather accents can work just as fabulously. From leather hats to statement belts and jackets to leather jewellery like bracelets and necklaces and of course the leather boot.
So transform your look, adding much needed edge.
