The season of glitter and red lippy is nearly here! As you begin planning your Christmas party outfits don’t forget to think about your makeup, specifically what glitter you’re going to cover yourself in.

Don’t stress we’ve got your back, why not spend more money on your Christmas cocktails and less on your festive makeup purchases. You don’t need to spend £16 on a Mac glitter to be the fairest of them all.

Here are 5 brands whose glitters are not only Christmas party worthy but won’t break the bank when you have presents to buy and cocktails to drink this festive season.

NYX Cosmetics- Face and Body Glitter.

With both its Face and Body range and Metallics, NYX is extensive in its colours and creativity. Colours such as ‘Ice’ ‘Red’ and ‘Gold’ would be perfect for a glimmering Christmas look, and at only £6 you can’t really go wrong. It would also be worth grabbing the glitter glue for a good base, you only need a small amount and it will keep your glittery look staying perfect all night.

Makeup Revolution- Eye Glitter

We’re pretty sure everyone has jumped on the Makeup Revolution hype with its products being comparable to more high-end beauty. Have you checked our their glitters? If not, head to Superdrug right now and fill up your basket.  Our personal favourite is a classic rose gold shade ‘Grand Gesture’ and like the rest of the glitters only £4!

Peaches and Cream

Peaches and Cream is a brand which might not be considered by many, its not the easiest to get your hands on -but it is worth it! We love this one because they are a pigment, which is a slightly finer glitter/texture that still allows you to create a stand out look or simply add a light shimmer for a day to night look! One of our favourites is the Fantasy eyeshadow Pigment (we recommend using a base or spraying some fix + on a brush when applying).

Don’t forget a classic! For many of us Barry M was one of our favourite nail varnish brands. But now its extensive makeup collection includes glitters, liquid lipsticks and contour kits. But we are here for the glitters, specifically the £4.59 Glitter dusts. Which will be your new obsession?

Elf Cosmetics

Elf is Cruelty free, Paraben free and Vegan! If you haven’t tried anything from this brand then we suggest heading to your local Superdrug or boots asap. Our Beauty Editor recommends their Stardust Glitters which, like all our other suggestions, are super reasonably priced (£6 from elfcosmetics.co.uk).

So now we have had the full run down on some of the drugstores best glitters, we suggest you write a list and get ready to glitter up. Its never too early to get into the festive spirit!
