Happy International Women’s Day ladies! A day dedicated to celebrating ourselves and each other, lets fix each others crowns not knock them down.
For those who aren’t aware of this day, it is a focal point in the movement for women’s rights. The day aimed to help nations worldwide eliminate discrimination against women. It also focused on helping women gain full and equal participation in global development.
It is a global day that celebrates social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day also marks some form of a “call to action” to increase gender equality.
For over 30 years, L’OCCITANE has closely supported the work of the Burkinabe women and to date, over 30,000 women have been given socio-economic freedom through this initiative.
This year, they have chosen one of the most beautiful African scents: the Hibiscus Sabariffa to celebrate the women of Burkina Faso. L’OCCITANE’s new Solidarity Balm emphasises the ancestral know-how of women in Burkina Faso with Shea butter and immerses you into the African atmosphere through an intense and subtle floral fragrance of their home: Hibiscus Sabariffa.
This International Women’s Day (8th March 2020) please join us all in celebrating the work of the Burkinabe women with the Solidarity Balm and supporting their economic emancipation. The Solidarity Balm, £5, is available to buy now from all L’OCCITANE Boutiques Nationwide and on uk.loccitane.com.
