Karl Lagerfeld is set to open his first London store on Regent Street coming March. This will be the largest store of his brand in Europe, said to be 2,700 square-foot. It will contain men and women ready-to-wear collections.

It’s a surprise that the acclaimed designer has only chosen now to stop shop in one of the most important cities in retail now. Better now than never, Paolo Righi from the label have commented this will be an “exceptional opportunity to position our brand in this important market”.

The store is said to add to the shopping experience, photo booths will be set in the dressing rooms for customers to snap their outfits in different filters, instead of having to quietly take a ‘selfie’ and upload it on Instagram yourself. If you enjoy your shopping experience you will be able to leave a message to Lagerfeld on their digital guest book.

In a time where shopping is done a click away on your piece of technology, Lagerfeld has us itching to get out of our beds back to the streets, how shopping was meant to be done.
