Perfume is an extremely personal product that is tailored differently to each person. Some people are very picky over their perfume choices – myself included. Our own scents allow for perfumes to smell different on each individual person, so perfumes that smell incredible on some people, do not necessarily smell as good on others.
Over 5,000 years ago, when perfume was first known to be used, there were no chemicals or synthetic ingredients, only the fragrances which could be taken from what nature provided. Three years in development, Potion Paris returns to the very foundation of perfume creation, using naturally derived, toxin-free ingredients in all its sustainable luxury fragrances.
The first collection is made up of seven fragrances, aptly named to reflect their notes:
- Addiction – an intense, addictive mix of peony and nutmeg
- Creation – a warm, rich and woody vanilla and musk scent
- Deception – a rich, white floral fragrance of jasmine and patchouli
- Devotion – a feminine, complex scent of white flower and patchouli
- Seduction – a warm, strong and reassuring blend of amber, praline and wood
- Sensation – a woody sensual blend of precious oud and oriental
- Temptation – a seductive, strong rose, peony and wood scent
Having discussed the scents which are, I can confirm, to die for (SOO good!), I need to talk about the packaging. It is EVERYTHING. For some people, packaging may not be the be-all and end-all when discussing a product. However, I was lost for words when I received the beautiful starter set.

In each box there is an encased rose gold (or black) refillable perfume travel vial, a vial dust bag, a chain, and up to 6 vial refills of the perfume scents of your choice. You get all of this for £89.99! For anybody who may think it is a little on the pricey side, it is always worth putting it into perspective that one perfume bottle can cost anywhere from £60 to £100+. Even if you aren’t a perfume lover, this would make the perfect gift for somebody!

Potion Paris has a return, refill, repeat programme with free return of 10 empty 10ml fragrance vials which will be cleaned, sanitised and refilled and two 10ml vials of the fragrance of your choice sent back in return.
