It’s so light and airy which makes it easy to wear, while it is sensual, sexual and seductive. The sheer clothing trend has evolved over the past 12 seasons (6 years) and has stayed relevant all through those years.
Sheer clothing doesn’t always means you have to bare all, you can just show a hint of skin, which is just as sexy, maybe even more so. It’s all about daring to tease. Fashion is all about having fun, you can dress up the sheer look or you can dress it down depending on where you are going.
The sheer clothing trend works best when you highlight or reveal a specific area, showing off the best, most flattering parts of your body, depending on your body shape; for instance you can highlight your legs, curves, arms or cleavage.
Sheer clothing this season comes in likes of ice blues, monochrome, knitwear, metallic hues and the little house on the prairie girly, floaty look. So no matter your personal style you can pull off the sheer trend.
On the catwalks of the biggest designers like Stella McCartney, Missoni, Victoria Beckham and Pucci, this trend has been heavily featured but as always the high street has your back with the likes of Zara, H&M and Forever 21 taking inspiration the designers and having us with lesser budgets covered.
Fashion icons like Gwen Stefani, Fergie and Kim Kardashian love this trend and have been photographed in sheer clothing numerous times. As has Miranda Kerr the Victoria Secrets supermodel.
It’s perfect for summer and it truly showcases femininity.
