It’s time for the crimson lip to move over this spring as the beauty industry has seen the rise of the orange hued lipstick, so hot on the catwalks at the recent Paris Fashion Week. Rocked by the likes of Cara Delevingne and the gorgeous Rita Ora, who has recently become the new face of Rimmel, it looks as though the tangerine lip is here to stay. Models at DKNY and Donna Karan were also seen sporting the new make-up must have, so check out our picks of the best ones on the high street right now.
1) Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick in Electric Orange £6, Superdrug.
Beauty queen Pat McGrath swears by this lippie as she uses it on the models and celebs she dolls up on a daily basis. Apply liberally and then blot to create that coveted matte effect.
2) Rimmel’s In Love With Ginger £6.49, Boots.
Rumoured to be one of Kate Moss’ fave from the new collection, this lipstick is perfect for both day and evening wear. The pigment is rich and stays on all day – result!
3) & Other Stories Burdet Orange £12, stories.com
Our favourite new store, & Other Stories, boasts a range of fantastic make-up products that are good enough to rival the cosmestics counters in places such as Selfridges and Liberty. We love the Burdet Orange shade!
4) Le Metier de Beaute Last Tango £25, Net-a-porter.
If you’re looking for something more high end, try this lipstick from the designer know-it-alls at Net-A-Porter. This colour doesn’t budge and is a failsafe look for summer 2014.
5) Butter’s Apricot Sunray Tinted Lip Balm £14, Butter London
Not only does Butter London produce amazing nail polishes, they also make fantastic lip colours, and this Apricot shade is one of the best. Team the look with matching nails!
