Another season, another trend. Sometimes, it can become rather difficult in keeping up with the forever changing trends of the fashion world, so I thought I would give you girlies a little helping hand. It’s that time of year when we all want to look our best and, to most, that means being seen sporting the hottest trends of the moment. I’ve picked out 3 key items that will help you achieve this.
Luxe sportswear is winning as the ultimate trend this summer with crisp white being key, accented by strong neon colours. Think crop tops, mesh tank tops, tube skirts, relaxed knits and loose sweatshirts which are all comfy and stylish pieces – bonus. The sports-influenced silhouette is dependent on modern mesh, luxe leather and lycra. However, graphic prints are still a huge trend along with monochrome and pastel colours.
The first item I picked out is the luxe jogger, which fit in perfectly with the sports luxe trend with it’s elasticated waist and drawstring details. These bottoms are lightweight and loose fitting making them extremely comfortable whether they’re cropped or full length – an essential if your tan isn’t quite there yet. Available in a variety of prints and colours, these are definitely a key piece as they are easy to style with just a simple loose fitting top, structured blazer; heeled sandals and you’re set to go.
The second item is the bomber style patterned jacket known as the ‘patterned blouson’. This is definitely more of an edgy piece, however, with it’s chiffon silk like fabric and loose sporty shape, it still fits in well with the sportswear trend. The range of graphic prints and patterns that this item is available in means it can be worn with almost anything. It’s brilliant for clashing prints on your bottom half whether its a floral, geometric or chevron pattern.
My third and final key item is a simple sweatshirt. Well, maybe not simple. We used to know sweatshirts as being quite a boring, bland piece of clothing but not anymore. Fashion sweatshirts have been revamped with graphic or text prints, sequins, fringing and can be oversized or cropped – definitely not boring anymore. This key item which links to the sportswear trend for obvious reasons is often paired with a pencil skirt and heels to make it more sophisticated.
