I went to check out the blush tint for the lips by permanent make up specialist, Sian Dellar at her Harley Street clinic.
Sian is known to creates bespoke permanent makeup using the microblading technique to enhance the eyebrows, lips and eyes that fits perfectly with facial features. She has a decade’s worth of experience behind her, so I knew I was in safe hands.
On arrival, I was given the consent forms to fill out, while I sat there with numbing cream on my lips. I then had a consultation with Sian Dellar, where we discussed my desired look and colours that suited me.
The blush tint is meant to take the dullness away, by giving your lips definition and a semi-permanent natural colour, which lasts around 1-2 years. Other options for the lips include a lip line or full tint with a colour of your choice, but the blush tint is more suited to my lifestyle as I don’t wear make-up on a daily basis so I wanted a natural look. Sian and her team of experts carefully blend pigments to ensure the colour suits their client’s skin tone.
On seeing all of the colours, I couldn’t help but think of a very passionate, leading colourist in the hair dresser’s, but for the face – it was so exciting!
The process:
I laid on the bed where Sian began to colour and line my lips. The process took around one and a half hours. This is the most painful part, not unbearable, but very uncomfortable. I don’t have any tattoos but I can imagine this is how it would feel.
The blush tint process takes two sessions in total. There needs to be around two weeks between both sessions, mainly so your lips can heal enough to do the 2nd treatment.
When the first session is done, you will leave the clinic with very bright lips, this is not the final colour, but your lips will have this colour for a few days, until the skin on your lips start to peel off. Do not pick or peel them, let the skin fall off naturally as you can affect the desired look and also make the lips sore. Just keep applying the healing balm that is given to you.
The healing process isn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was slightly bruised and it felt like my lips were really dry, but I just kept applying the healing balm, which really soothes them.

Results:
As you can see from the photos above, my natural lip colour is very similar to my skin tone, so when I do not have anything on my lips my lips slightly blend into my face. The blush tint has allowed me to have clear definition between my face and lips, my lips look more fuller because they are more defined and this result will last for 1-2 years – I am so happy with it! The colour is great, and really suits my complexion, I will be seeing Sian in a few years for my top up.
The Sian Deller Healing Balm
The Healing Balm is delightful! Burt’s Bees Lip Balm doesn’t have anything on this. I am patiently waiting for this to be available to buy, as the Sian Dellar Healing Balm should be in every woman’s hand bag. We will keep you posted when she launches it on the site.

I also did a piece on Sian Dellar for the WCW regular feature, check it out here.
If you are interested in getting a blush tint/any other semi permanent make up done, Sian is the lady you need to be speaking to.
