Debuting her career by writing a song on Ariana Grande’s 1st album and being chosen by the BBC to represent the UK in Eurovision 2019, SAI is a soulful singer-songwriter and classically trained piano player with multi-cultural roots: London based, she was born in Manchester and grew up with a French/Algerian mother and Persian father.

90’s soul/RnB influenced with a vocal tone to die for, she marries addictive melodies, intoxicating harmonies and genius yet sometimes badass lyrics, to create a sound that’s hard to ignore. The singer’s also just released a brand new track entitled, ‘Million Bucks‘, which we’re loving! We caught up with SAI and asked her about her top 5 tracks that influence her musically. Find out below:

1. Alicia Keys – ‘Fallin’

It’s so perfectly written, it was released when I was 13 and called a geek by my mates for spending too much time playing the piano, and then BOOM, Alicia dropped THIS and showed the world that playing the piano wasn’t geeky, it was DOPE!

2.  Stevie Wonder  – “Ribbon In The Sky”

The emotion in this song kills me every time and Stevie is just the male vocal bible.

3. Ross From Friends – “Bootman”

On REPEAT right now!

4. Tone Stith

“Every Hour” – Pure magic vibes and takes me back to the best holiday ever in Barcelona last Summer.

5. Snoh Aalegra – “Time”

Snoh is my ultimate fave music discovery of the past few years – been waiting a while to be as excited as this about a new artist!
