If you’re not brave enough to go for the chop or to part with your natural hair colour, revitalise your tresses instead, with this simple yet effective tip that is doing the rounds on beauty blogs and hair forums across the globe – conditioning hair before you shampoo. Yep, that’s right, before.

Simply wet your hair through and slather on your favourite conditioner from the root to the ends of your locks; brush through and leave for a few minutes. Wash the conditioner out and then shampoo your hair as you normally would.

I gave it a go and have got to say, it’s the best hair tip we’ve followed in a long time. Frizz was drastically reduced, hair was silky soft and the appearance of split ends had virtually disappeared. If, like most women, you expose your hair to the harsh heat of straighteners only for the ends to curl up after an hour or so, this tip will leave your hair poker straight.

I would totally recommend this tip to anyone who has thick, unmanageable hair or for those of you who find it hard to get rid of all traces of conditioner if your locks are quite thin. Give it a go and tweet us your thoughts @amormagazineuk
