FLO – Cardboard Box
Flo is the hottest new girl group to hit the scene and they are blowing us away with their debut single ‘Cardboard Box.’ Their style is giving a UK version of the US girl group Cherish with a modern twist.
Flo are based in London and are made up of Renée, Stella and Jorja. The catchy tune is produced by British singer, songwriter and record producer MNEK. ‘Cardboard box’ showcases Flo recording their own music video, as they show off some cute dance moves. This new trio are brimming with personality as they let cheating men know they will not be messed with.
Miraa May – Wild Things
Whilst fans of Miraa May are anxiously waiting for her debut album ‘ Tales of a Miracle’ to drop. The British-Algerian singer has teased us with her track titled ‘Wild Things’. Miraa May, who is a survivor of abuse, dedicates ‘Wild Things’ to anyone who has been a victim of domestic violence/abuse.The bolshie video is directed by Charlie Di Placidoz and shows Miraa May and her girl gang shining in all their glory as they take their power back.
The visuals mostly take place in a police office, as we see Miraa May being unsuccessfully interrogated as she manages to override the ultimate symbol of authority. The video is all about reversing the roles and Miraa taking control,but not without first of all making sure she is rubbing in the abusers face all her successes. The creative visuals and empowering lyrics let the viewers know that things are finally happening on Miraa May’s timing.
Mychelle – Forbidden Fruit ft. ENNY
Hackney singer Mychelle is seducing us with her silky vocals and soulful vibes on her latest single ‘Forbidden Fruit’ feat artist Enny. Mychelle released her first EP, “Closure” in 2021 and is a new artist who started delving into music at the age of 17. She is now under Famm management company and record label that has released music from the likes of Enny and Jorja Smith.
The song details the experience of being drawn to someone who you know is not good for you. The visuals showcase both Mychelle and Enny performing the song amidst a fruit themed backdrop. We also follow the storyline of Mychelle playing a game of chess against herself as she battles the internal desire for the forbidden fruit.
Shaé Universe feat. ENNY
Shae Universe is a UK singer who has collaborated with the likes of artists such as Kojey Radical, Ms Banks and Etta Bond. Her latest single ‘Sit Back’ featuring artist Enny is taken from her debut EP, Unorthodox. The soothing RnB track does what it says on the tin as you cannot help but to sit back, relax and chill to the song. The visuals showcase Shae living her ultimate soft life as she grooves to the single in a luxury house, adorned in silk pyjamas. Enny also shines on this track as her poetic rhymes perfectly match the energy of the song.
