Ms Banks – Back It Up ft Geko 

With summer in full swing UK rapper Ms Banks has decided to switch things up  by singing on her latest track, ‘Back it Up’ featuring Mancunian rapper Geko and produced by Rymez. The single is a refreshing summery track, which speaks about needing her lover to back it up on her. The track reveals a more sensual side to Ms Banks from her melodic notes to her flowing garms in the video. Geko complements the track painting a picture of how her physique has got him sprung.

‘Back it Up’ definitely shows how Ms Banks is a double threat, being able to kill it on a track whether it be rapping or singing. The song is one that has the audience anticipating what’s next for the queen of consistency.

Tamera – Romeo

For fans of Tamera Foster who previously appeared on X-factor and stunned the nation with her power house vocals, her debut single ‘Romeo’ has come as a long awaited treat. The track is very nostalgic which is matched by Tamera’s subtle jazzy vocals. The music video’s theme is space with an air of sophistication as we see the starlet in a bubblegum space helmet and baby pink space suit. The slightly fuzzy visuals infused with pink filters highlights the old skool vibe Tamera is trying to convey in the song.

Miraa May – What I Smoke

Fresh off of the release of her new EP Dark . Singer/ Songwriter Miraa May is back with her new video ‘What I Smoke. ‘ Shot in Algeria, Miraa May takes us on a journey through her country of origin as we see stunning scenes of the city. ‘What I smoke’ is an introspective track as Miraa May dispels the myth of what a woman should be like. The singer warns the listener ‘Daddy Lessons made me crack my perfect ways’ as she shows that there is a darker side to what meets the eye.

Dyo – Go All The Way (Official Video) ft. Mr Eazi

British-Nigerian songstress Dyo returns with a brand new single, ‘Go All The Way’, featuring Mr Eazi. The track follows on from the artists debut single ‘Arena.’ The uplifting song features Afro-beats heavy weight Mr Eazi. It additionally features a number of cameos from young creative people of the African diaspora from different disciplines including music, film, photography, poetry and journalism.

Dyo has worked as a songwriter behind the scenes. She has been nominated for an Ivor Novello award and has collaborated with the likes of Fifth Harmony and Jacob Banks, as well as writing chart-topping singles for icons such as Wiley and Chip.

Missy Elliott – Throw It Back

Missy Elliot is having an amazing year already set to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award at the MTV Video Music Awards taking place on the 27th August and also dropping a surprise five-track album called “Iconology.”

The vibrant video has the familiar quirkiness of a Missy Elliot video epic dance moves, a cameo from singer Teyana Taylor and an alternate universe that we would all secretly love to be a part of.
