The opportunity to brunch over the weekend, in a private members’ club should be appealing to everyone, but on seeing the beautiful decor and meeting the friendly staff, it made the experience even more special, and truly a meal to remember.
The Number Five restaurant at the Devonshire Club, which is situated in Devonshire Square is in the heart of the city and offers the opportunity for non-members to indulge in the sophisticated settings and enjoy a three-course champagne brunch on weekends.
For starters I selected the berries, yoghurt and honey and my friend ordered the eggs royale.
For the mains, I selected the eggs royale, and my friend ordered the burger, which came with fries. Both were delightful.
Dessert we had cheese and crackers.
The menu included everything from brunch classics, egg variations, starters and salads, hearty mains and even a roast trolley. The food is a perfect example of good quality modern British gastronomy. The intimate settings and lovely surroundings make this the perfect place for a quiet meal for two.
Please note, even though this three-course champagne brunch is available on the weekends, parking is unavailable. We recommend getting an Uber or traveling there by public transport. Liverpool Street Station or Aldgate Station being the closest ones, which is just a little walk away.
We highly recommend! 5/5
