The Industry Take Over All Dayer, will be taking place on Saturday, February 23, this will feature an amazing prize. Urban Development are offering emerging artists the chance to perform at this year’s The Great Escape festival in Brighton in May.
The annual Industry Take Over All Dayer is one of the signature events by award-winning music development organisation Urban Development, and this year, they are partnering with Association Of Independent Music (AIM), Universal Music, Complex UK, Reprezent Radio, and PRS For Music, among others, to deliver their biggest one yet.
The artists will also be able to receive support and insight from some of the industry’s top experts and A&Rs taking part in the all dayer, including Universal Music’s Adele White, Warner Records UK’s Jack Duckworth, Riyad Felix (Since 93/Sony Music UK), Joel Borquaye (BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra), Dan Owusu (BMG), and Nikki Camilleri (Believe).
Artists, rappers, singers, musicians and bands can enter the Industry Take Over Open Mic competition by following Urban Development on Twitter or Instagram (@urbandevelopmnt), and upload a 60-second video of a rap freestyle or vocal performance, with the hashtag #IndustryTakeover. The best social media entries will then be invited to perform at the Open Mic session on Saturday, February 23, with the best performer going on to perform at The Great Escape Festival.
