– RESTAURANT REVIEW –
Address: 4 IVERNESS STREET, LONDON, NW1 7HJ
Cuisine: JAMAICAN
Relatively new Jamaican restaurant “Ma Petite Jamaica” prides itself on being a “cool rum bar” with an authentic Jamaican menu.
Ma Petite is easily accessible from Camden Town tube station which is bound to make it quite a hotspot on a Friday night, paired with a DAILY happy hour that runs from 5-7pm!
FOOD: The menu offers all the dishes you’d expect to find in a Caribbean restaurant. I’d recommend their jerk chicken skewers with satay sauce (pictured below) for starters. For the main you can choose from curried coat, fried red snapper, jerk burgers and many more. Accompaniments include plantain, dumplings, rice and peas to name a few.
DRINKS: They have a decent list of cocktails including mocktails, mainly rum based. Try the “Bird of Paradise”.
ATMOSPHERE: Decorated with colourful wooden chairs and vibrant pictures, you do get a sense of being in a “petite Jamaica”.
OVERALL: The decor and food worked hand-in-hand, definitely somewhere you could go for a casual date or after work drinks.
