The brand specialise in wedding gowns and dresses for formal occasions. Their newest collection AW14 was shown just last week at their James Street, London store at the Press Day, and what a collection it was.
The event hosted a myriad of classic items and dresses that had elements of embroidery, lace, beads and feathers: pretty much any girl’s fantasy closet. I especially loved the tartan pieces that are reminiscent of those 60s London ‘It’ girls: Twiggy and Marianne Faithful. Also taking influences of the 20s and 30s fringe flapper dresses and beaded gowns that remind us of Hollywood glamour.
What started in 1979 as a store for Suburban housewives has clearly transformed into formal and casualwear that any woman can enjoy. Classic, timeless and fun are what Phase Eight embody.
