Eaten lots of junk food over the Christmas period? I totally feel you. After Christmas, my skin became awfully spotty and oily. After beginning my new skincare regime I have noticed a huge change in my complexion and the overall healthiness of my skin. I am going to share, with you all, my daily routine.

Step One:

I begin with cleansing my face; to do this I use the ‘Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm’. I take a small scoop of the balm and rub into a damp face, which I then wash off with warm water and pat dry with a towel. The Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm retails at £41.00 for a 105g pot and comes with a cleansing cloth. This balm can also be used to dissolve makeup with, as it is kinder to the skin than a make-up wipe.

Step Two:

Secondly, use the ‘Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner”, which I spray over my face and then pat dry with a cotton wool pad. It is not essential to dry, it just makes the process a bit quicker. The toner retails at £23.50 for a 200ml bottle, its ultimate role is to rehydrate and refresh the skin. The toner contains active ingredients:

  • Ginseng
  • Saponins form Quillaja Wood
  • Sweet Betty Flower

Step Three:

Then to finish I apply a tiny amount (around the size of a 5p) of the ‘Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream’ this will be enough to cover the entire surface of the face. It is an anti-wrinkle cream (never too early to start!). The Marine Cream is the most expensive out of all products with a price tag of £82.00 for a 50ml pot.

I carry out this regimen twice a day, first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

Since using Elemis I have noticed a clear difference in my skin, it is smoother and leaves me with a dewy finish, feeling fully hydrated. Although Elemis products can come at a high cost, there are always bundles and reduced prices from other websites so it’s always worth shopping around before you buy!
